I have several gardens throughout Northern Colorado and the Front Range that I have designed, maintained, and managed. Here are just a few of them.

Note that I am sharing before, during, in process, and after photos of these gardens! Gardens constantly grow, change, and evolve. Following these gardens throughout the years will give us a much better idea of their scope, reach, and design.

I hope you enjoy the journey!

This garden is in NIWOT Colorado.

I started caring for it in Spring of 2023.

We have removed all of the weed barrier, added high quality organic compost, mulched, and re-arranged the layout of the plants to flow smoothly throughout the landscape.

These are the before and during pictures. I will get updated pictures up soon!

We are also adding several beds in the back yard, including an herb garden, a cut flower garden, and decorative beds around the pool, hot tub, and gazebo.

Our 2024 plans include a Parisian water feature and garden for sitting and enjoying coffee and tea, a bigger cut flower bed, native seeding of a hill to reduce erosion, and more! Join us for our garden overhaul journey!

This garden is in Westminster Colorado.

I designed this garden from 2016-2021

From a weedy front yard and dead side yard, we developed this property into a food forest with a native wildlife garden to help support wildlife and pollinators in the area. The grass was removed to create a xeric design that can be easily maintained as the plants grow out and fill in the area.

This is a permaculture design with a food forest, herb garden, and native habitat. After the first year of establishing perennials, plants are watered very little, and are producing food and medicine consistently, more and more each year!

I started installing and designing this garden in 2022

This landscape was completely neglected, growing more weeds than anything else. It is designed to be a permaculture food forest, but with native grasses between the guilds. The native grasses do not need extra water, and are there to be a more xeric yard, with a lush look.

The bed lining the sidewalk was all bindweed, so it was solarized in 2022, and in 2023 the weed barrier material was removed, and we started planting in a rose hedge with reclaimed rose bushes people were getting rid of, along with a lavender hedge, and some incense cedar. It was also seeded with a native flower mix of annuals and perennials to help improve soil quality, and bring a beautiful smile to people’s faces.

The corners of the front beds are both native plant gardens to help support native pollinators and wild life.

The orchard in front is full of apple, pear, and peach trees along with currants, elderberries, asparagus, strawberries, perennial kale, and helpful herbs.

The two annual garden beds are high production food beds that get rotated yearly to help support healthy soil and crop rotation.

The back yard is the newest big project. We recently built a duck pond, and are working on a sunken garden bed, hügelkultur mound, and are trying to seed the backyard with native grasses and clovers to make it nice for the kids and dogs to play.
